Threads
Artist Statement
It is through urbanisation and materialism that society frays and leaves only threads. Inspired by industrial themed images, Threads is a series of postcards featuring layers of drawn images from around Tully State High School. Threads were sewn and frayed as a visual interpretation of urbanisation and its effects on society. The limited colour palette further emphasises the stark industrial features.

After graduation, I plan to move to Brisbane, far from my small coastal town of Mission Beach. There, I will study psychology and criminology, with the aim of becoming a forensic psychologist. I hope that my experience of fast-paced city life will inspire me and my art in new and exciting ways.
