A colonial photo of a Turkish Cypriot family in 1878, a forgotten ethnic minority from Cyprus. Turkish Cypriots have a distinct culture and vernacular and today largely live in a diaspora as the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is not recognised by the international community as having a legitimate claim to statehood or identity.
